Stars: Boris Karloff, Betta St. John, Christopher Lee

Corridors of Blood Story Line. To relieve the suffering of surgery patients in the 1840’s, Dr. Thomas Bolton painstakingly develops an opium-based anesthetic. Over time, he becomes addicted to the anesthetic. A demonstration before a panel of his peers ends in a horrific mishap when his patient awakens under the knife. Due to this, Dr. Bolton is forced to leave his position in disgrace.

In order to provide a continual supply of chemicals to continue his experiments and support his addiction, the Doctor falls in with a den of murderers. These killers use his signature to sell cadavers to the local hospital. The criminals are led by Black Ben and his henchman Resurrection Joe (Christopher Lee).  Unfortunately, this shady partnership leads Bolton to further ruin, culminating in his unwitting participation in murder. This makes him the first victim of a horrific blackmail scheme.

Corridors Of Blood is a moody atmospheric thriller set in Oliver Twist London. Nigel Green gives a great performance as the police inspector looking to break up the den of vice and corruption Karloff got involved in. This is definitely a must-watch for Karloff fans.
